I am a PhD student in applied mathematics working in the area of nonlinear wave equations under the supervision of
Dmitry Pelinovsky.
My research is primarily focused on localized solutions to differential equations of mathematical physics. For instance, among the equations I have worked on are the short-pulse equation modelling propagation of ultra-short pulses in optical fiber, and the Ostrovsky–Hunter equation describing evolution of shallow water waves in a rotating fluid. I currently work on my PhD thesis which is devoted to existence and stability of solitons in nonlinear latices such as the ones described by the discrete Klein–Gordon and nonlinear Schrodinger equations.
In a nutshell, my research interests in differential equations include, but not limited to
- existence and stability of localized solutions
- local and global well-posedness
- wave breaking
- numerical illustrations
Some more information is available in my
CV.
