Calculus for the Physical Sciences I

Textbook Calculus: early transcendentals, 7th edition, James Stewart, Thomson Brooks/Cole (required)

Course objective: the study of differential and integral calculus for  functions of one variable. Topics include:
1) a review of continuity and differentiability, with emphasis on the intermediate value theorem and the mean value theorem;
2) theory and techniques of integration;
3) applications of the differential and integral calculus.

Course outline with detailed information about how the course will be marked, procedures for dealing with absences, university regulations.
