On-line help
- RSiteSearch (the original R site search. Indexes mailing lists, function
help, etc.. Can be accessed from within R (RSiteSearch(“topic”)) or on
the web.
- rseek.org (An alternative search engine. It finds lots of introductory
materials/tutorials, etc., and has nice tabs on the right side dividing the
results by categories (“Introductions”, “Task Views”, “Support Lists”,
etc.)
- sos::findFn interface to R Site Search
(install.packages("sos"); library(sos); findFn("topic"))
- R mailing list
- R wiki (not as well populated as it might be, but useful for some things)
- R tips (somewhat old but still useful)
- R-bloggers (entertainment and case studies rather than “how to” advice)
- StackOverflow (more focused on programming than statistics)
- R Task Views (quick reviews of subject-specific functionality)
