PLANNING YOUR PROGRAM AND
TIMETABLE
Q: I received my schedule but I am not sectioned.
A: Personal
Timetable: Will be available on MUGSI/My
Academics/Course Timetable on Thursday, August 7. If you selected courses which could not be
scheduled (sectioned) conflict-free, you will be responsible for resolving the
conflict. This may mean dropping and
adding a different course if changing the section and/or component is not
possible. After you receive your
personal timetable, you can change your section/component assignment online
using SOLAR when it becomes available to you but only if there are seats
available.
If the course is full, you must select an alternate
registration section (e.g. evening or a different term).
Day
Courses: The
Office of the Registrar will be initially assigning you to the Core (lecture),
Lab and Tutorial sections just before the personal timetables are released on
Thursday, August 7. For special programs such as Nursing and Social Work, the
sections and components may be pre-assigned for some courses before you
register in SOLAR.
Evening
Courses: You
will be required to select the sections and all the components (Core (lecture),
Lab and Tutorial) when SOLAR first opens to you for registration.
Q: I tried to section myself on
MUGSI and it says the section I want is full.
No other sections fit into my schedule.
A: If you have received the
following message on SOLAR, “The Registration Section you selected is
full. Try another Section or select
another course. If no alternate course
satisfies your degree requirements, contact the department provided you meet
the course requisites”, you should contact the person noted below for that
subject.

there was no one there.

If not they may not start until next week.
A: Re-check your tutorial location
and time on the registrar’s master course timetable.

whether you have been given approval.
