The purpose of the McMaster Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics Society is to foster a unified community amongst the students of the department through:

1. Providing a cohesive voice
2. Facilitating communication between students and the faculty, administration and other organizations
3. Working to generate interest in mathematics and statistics both within the society and campus wide
4. Organizing student initiated social, intellectual and other events.
