December 2, 2012 To assist in your preparation for the final exam I have posted the 2011 final exam. No solutions will be provided for this exam but, time permitting, I will go over a couple of the questions in class on Monday December 3. I am also happy to discuss the questions and your solutions in any of the office hours announced above.

December 2, 2012 The solutions to assignment 5 as well as the second term test and solutions have now been posted.

November 25, 2012 The eighth (and final) set of lecture notes has now been posted.

November 20, 2012 Notes for today's SAS Lab have now been posted.

November 17, 2012 Your fifth (and final) assignment has now been posted. It is due at the start of class on November 29, 2012.

November 16, 2012 It has just been brought to my attention that there is a difference between the 4th and 5th editions of the textbook which affects the fourth assignment. For question 3, the correct question is 5.5 (Page 147) of the fourth edition but is number 5.7 (Page 157) if using the fifth edition. Sorry for not noticing this discrepancy earlier. A revised version of the assignment with correct question numbers for both editions of the textbook has been posted.

November 16, 2012 I have posted some practice questions for the second test which are primarily taken from previous tests in this course. The practice questions can be found here.

November 2, 2012 Your fourth assignment has now been posted to give you a little extra time as I know a number of you have some midterms coming up. The due date is still November 15 so that I can hopefully get the assignments back to you before your second term test on November 22.

October 31, 2012 There was a problem with accessing the notes for yesterday's SAS Lab which has now been fixed and the notes should be accessible. Unfortunately I did not find out about the problem until after your lab. Sorry about that.

October 24, 2012 The fifth set of lecture notes has been posted.

October 23, 2012 The first term test and its solution have now been posted. Note that to keep the file reasonable in size I have removed the tables supplied with the written paper. Those tables are Table A.2 and Table A.4 in your textbook.

October 16, 2012 The solutions for the second assignment have now been posted.

October 14, 2012 A reminder that the first term test will take place in Room T29-105 at 9:30am on Thursday, October 18. You will have 50 minutes for the test which will comprise of 3 questions. The coverage of the test will be the first 3 sets of my lecture notes and Chapters 1-3 of the textbook. Remember to bring a calculator and do not be late as no additional time will be granted for students arriving late.

September 26, 2012 Due to illness, the class at 9:30 on Thursday September 27 will be cancelled. The first assignment in this course will now be due at 9:30 on Monday October 1. Sorry for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause.

September 20, 2012 Two typos have been found in Question 3 of Assignment 1. Q3(c) should ask for confidence intervals for the true intercept and slope. Q3(d) should ask you to get the coefficient of determination. A corrected pdf file is posted below. Sorry for the errors.

September 16, 2012 I have (slightly) amended the SAS notes for Lab 1 since the TA has pointed out that I am using a newer version of SAS than is available in the labs and so the method to save output is different.

September 15, 2012 I have now posted your first assignment as well as some notes for your first SAS lab.

September 11, 2012 It has just been brought to my attention that there is a fifth edition of the required text available. Students may use either the fourth or fifth editions. I will ensure to give the question numbers in both editions for any assigned questions.

Assignments


Assignments will be posted here at least one week before they are due and their solutions will be posted approximately one week after the due date. Assignments are due at the start of class on their due date, late assignments will not be accepted except in extreme circumstances.

The two term tests and their solutions will be posted here shortly after the test dates.
