I will be turning off email access via webmail and IMAP/POP clients for ca. 15 min. at 9 PM this evening in order to do some maintenance.

New Feature: Reviewing Filtered Mail
A new command on mathserv will let you see the stats for daily mail-filter/spam archive.
For the previous day:
archive-user-report
For an arbitrary day:
archive-user-report --date=2009/07/12
With a list of all spam sends/subjects
archive-user-report --summary
Add the first or both of these directives to the file .rhpcsrc in your mathserv home directory to have the report mailed to you each day:
mail-cleaner-report:yes
mail-cleaner-report-spam-summary:yes

Compute Servers Down During Power Outage
Contrary to my note yesterday, I will be shutting down the compute servers before the power outage (A/C will be off in the server room and we need to reduce the chance of over heating the room).

Thunderbird Upgrade (minor)
Thunderbird has been upgraded on the ms workstations. This is a minor update but you will still see a notice re. add-on updates.
Firefox Upgraded to 3.5
Firefox on the ms workstations has been upgraded to version 3.5; see the release notes and tips and tricks pages for details of improvements and new features. You may see some stability problems until close all firefox windows and reopen the browser.
