Network Downtime this Sunday
UTS informs us that the network connection between McMaster and the rest of the Internet will be down this Sunday between 7am and 11am.
Original notice:
There will be an interruption of network traffic between the main campus and external networks during the period identified below. This includes:
Internet
ORION
off-campus sites such as the DTC
The interruption is necessary to move equipment to a more robust enclosure and source of power. E-mail messages will not be lost - they will be held by the sending server until the receiving system can accept delivery.
Date: Sunday February 17, 2008
Start Time: 7:00 a.m.
End Time: 11:00 a.m.
Audience: McMaster University community and external clients attempting to reach University hosted services such as web or email.
