Minor Server Crash

Mathserv was down for about twenty-five minutes this afternoon after a system failure at 2:50. No files or mail appear to have been lost, and the server was up again by 3:15.

New FAQ Entry: Resetting KDE and Gnome Settings

Gnome and KDE settings can get screwed up enough that you can't run these desktops usefully. The recent power failure seems to have triggered a few configuration mess ups. Instructions for returning to the default KDE and Gnome settings are posted on the FAQ page.
